Just 10 minutes away from Interstate 80 and historic downtown Truckee, this four-bedroom getaway draws you in with homey decor, while being close to Donner Lake water sports in summer, skiing in winter, and tons of indoor fun all year long. Having a cozy lodge feel while still being spacious and bright, your guests will love coming back to this rental year after year.
The living room and kitchen area is built for boisterous socializing around a wood-burning fireplace. Host family-style meals in the dining room under the striking deer antler chandelier, serve hot cocoa while watching cable or the big game on TV, cook burgers on the gas grill outside, and socialize over WiFi streaming music in this inviting common area.
With seven comfy beds, everyone will have a place to revitalize themselves for another day of snowplay. On the main floor you'll find the perfect kids' room with two double beds, as well as the master bedroom including a roomy king-size bed. Upstairs there are two more rooms and each hold a queen bed. One sofabed is conveniently located in the living area, while a second one sits in the bunk-like loft. And, if your group includes a baby, there's even a crib (stored in the master bedroom's closet).
For those sleeping on the bottom floor, there's an easily accessible bathroom with a standing shower, as well as the master bathroom. One more bathroom is upstairs. With three bathrooms total, there's minimal waiting. If needed, you also have a washer and dryer.
A short eight-minute drive away is the Tahoe Donner Clubhouse and Trout Creek Recreation Center. There, guests have access to sauna-equipped spas, pools, hot tubs, gyms, and more ( a small daily rec center fee may apply).
